Navigating your WordPress Website

Logging In

To access the back end of your website, type in your website url followed with /wp-admin

Eg. http://ENTERDOMAIN/wp-admin

Login with the supplied credentials.

Alternatively, you can access the backend of your site via your miStable dashboard - click the purple miSite button from the left side menu

Add News/Post

From the menu down the left hand side of your screen, click POSTS > Add New

1. Give your News Post a Title.
2. Enter your new content.
3. If you wish to add Media (photo or video), click add Media and select your Media from your Media Gallery or Computer.
4. On the right side of your screen, scroll down to Categories and tick the category option = NEWS.
5. On the right side of your screen, scroll down to Featured Image and add the Featured Image for your news post. You can select an image already uploaded from your media gallery or from your computer. Recommended image size is approx proportions 800 width x 600 high.
6. Once you have finished with your post, you can click PREVIEW to proof it.
7. If you're happy with what you have created, click PUBLISH to go live on your website.

If you wish to adjust the date of a news post go to ALL POSTS on the main left menu.

Hover over the title of the article you wish to edit and click QUICK EDIT.

Adjust the Date and click Update.

Edit a page on your website

From the main left menu on your screen, select PAGES.

The pages are ordered alphabetically. 20 listed pages per page. If you can't see the page you are after, you can select the next page from the button right corner of the screen.

Hover over the title of the page you wish to amend and click EDIT.

Let the page builder load. You should now see your page in the purple DIVI BUILDER format. If not, select the Purple Button THE DIVI BUILDER to change display.

The Divi Builder display lets you view the page in sections.

To edit existing page content, find the section on the page you wish to edit. Click the 3 horizontal bars on the GREY MODULE. This will open up the page contents.

Once you have made changes to your module, click SAVE & EDIT to return to the page view.

Now that you have made your changes, you can click PREVIEW CHANGES to see how they look on your webpage. Once you are happy, click UPDATE to make change the LIVE.

Add a Horse Available

From the main menu, select Horses Available > ADD NEW.

Alternatively, you can go into Horses Available and click ADD NEW from the top of the page.

Ignore Add a Title field, unless you wish to add a customised name for your horse. Once you select your horse in HORSE CONNECTION a title will automatically display the name of the horse. 

Tick which options you would like displayed:
Show Sold - Horse has been sold. A red SOLD sticker is displayed on the Horse.
Show on Home Page - display horse on the Homepage Horses Available section.
Show on Grid - display horse on the Horses Available page.
Show image from API - this is the Horse Profile image from your miStable Dashboard.
Price - optional
Location - optional
Show Owners
Show Incentives - display Race incentive logos as per what has been selected in the Horse Profile on your miStable Dashboard.

Click PUBLISH (on the right of screen) to display your horse on your website.

NB: Pedigree information will automatically display.

ADD A HORSE DESCRIPTION

From the main menu, select Horses.
NB: The horses from your miStable Dashboard automatically feed through to your website.

To add a description and various media to a horse profile on your website, hover over the horses name and editing options will appear. Click EDIT.

To add a description and various media to a horse profile on your website, hover over the horses name and editing options will appear. Click EDIT.

Skip over the Settings for Horse Profile and enter your horse description in the content section. Click Add Media to add images or videos.

If you are feeling more creative with your Horse Description, you can click on the purple USE THE DIVI BUILDER icon and build your Horse Profile page.

Once you have added your description, you can PREVIEW how your horse description page will look.

If you're happy, click UPDATE to make your changes LIVE.
